Ambassador Georgiy Mamedov Presented Honor
Professorship
to Canadian Citizen Austin Mardon
On February 2, 2005 in the
Embassy of the Russian Federation Ambassador Georgiy Mamedov presented an
honor professorship diploma of Russian Penza State Pedagogical University
to Mr. Austin Mardon - geographer, writer and researcher from Edmonton
(Alberta).
The Honourable Peter Goldring,
MP (Edmonton East) took part in the presentation.
After the ceremony participants
discussed a number of issues concerning Russia-Canada cooperation in the
sphere of science and education as well as scientific perspectives of
interaction in the Arctic, Antarctic and in the framework of Kyoto
Protocol. |
